Vertical Double-sided Drilling Machine
The topDRILL easy is a double-sided glass drilling machine with digital display for motorized setting of the drilling height. The manual handwheel allows fine adjustments to 1/10 mm. Marking the drill holes or additional laser markings are no longer necessary. The length adjustment via a double row of foldable, serial limit stops allows rapid processing of glass sheets of the same size. The glass sheet is transported manually. The patented drilling depth adjustment and the operation via central hand lever at the front render any adjustment for the glass thickness unnecessary. The drilling speed can be adjusted continuously, a selector switch activates one-sided drilling.
Configuration options
Extension modules allow an easy extension of the maximum possible processing glass length of the topDRILL to the customer‘s requirements. The optional DRITOP CMX quick-change system minimizes the set-up times of the machine. The topDRILL easy offers convincing arguments with its demonstrable, decades-long durability as well as its high precision with easy operation.

The Highlights
The drill bit feed
topDRILL Easy allows shortest cycle times by using the combined one-handed operation for drill bit feed and SPS control. The rear drill unit has an automatic drill bit feed and the patented DDC drill depth adjustment. The front drill unit is moved by the central hand lever, eliminating the need for any additional adjustment of the glass thickness

CMX quick-change system
This manual quick-change system was specially developed from Schraml Glastechnik in order to use all commercially available standard drills in combination with a simple adapter. Changing of the drill bits is a question of two "clicks" and a few seconds! The annoying release and clamping with two keys behind or under the machine is a thing of the past.
The system consists of the CMX-quick-change chuck (front and rear mounted) and 10 pieces of XTE adapters for the most common diameters.
The modules
topDRILL machines are built using the varioflexx modular system and are therefore incredibly versatile. You can start with the basic configuration and then add further modules or even integrate additional tools at any time as required. Connection of the individual modules is achieved using milled connecting plates with precise alignment drill-holes:
- Module lengths either 1000 mm or 2000 mm, combinable
- Roller modules free-running or motor-driven, can be coupled
- All modules pre-configured for sensors and with integrated cable duct
- Standard appearance with perforated sheet metal plate at rear and design panel at front
